It gives me immense pleasure to join the analyst team at TEC.
As all of us know, the information technology (IT) landscape is changing rapidly, and the practices and trends that existed five years ago are considered antiquated today. Further, enterprise software users are being challenged to innovate with existing resources, while both software vendors and end users are facing an increasingly discerning customer base.
My main focus at TEC is in the area of innovation and governance systems. I aim to predict future software trends to support innovation, as well as assist buyers and technology vendors with the implementation and governance of software systems. I will primarily focus on traditional Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product and Portfolio Management (PPM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and computer-aided engineering (CAE) packages such as those found in the domain of Systems Engineering.
Every analyst dreams of producing research that has a wide impact, identifying broad trends but also encompassing niche industry practices and issues. That work must be based in hard facts. TEC’s impressive knowledge base of user requirements and its modeling techniques—using vendor and end user input to continually update the data—make it easier to support the service I hope to provide. TEC’s interaction with end users will enrich my role as an industry analyst.
I look forward to working with the TEC analyst team to find futher ways to improve your software selection experience and highlight the potential for TEC to help you in your endeavors.
